Overview
At the San Diego Archaeological Center, students step into the past through exhibits and hands-on activities. Start your visit learning how archaeologists study the past, then go on your Quest through the museum exploring the region’s 10,000 year history. Make your own pinch pot as you learn about this natural resource and traditional pottery.
Objectives
Students will:
- learn how archaeologists study the past
- learn about the cultural history of San Diego;
- practice observation and inference skills in order to determine site activity
- gain an understanding of the importance of cultural resource protection and preservation
