Did you catch our PHATCROPS gardening workshops? We plowed into 2022 with five online sessions hosted by the dynamic Sartteka Am Ab Nefer, lead gardener at PHATCROPS. An advocate of all that is plant-based, Sartteka offered tons of tips for growing your own food and making smart landscaping choices.
We had great participation during the sessions on Zoom and are pleased to present the videos here:
Workshop 1: Use What You Got to Grow What You Want
You’re big on dreams but short on cash, space, time and know-how. No problem! Sartteka walks you through growing your own food and staying within your limits.
Workshop 2: Companion Planting and Sacrificial Plants
Learn about the companion plants of your food-producing favorites. These besties act as pest deterrents, nitrogen fixers, soil builders and shade makers.
Workshop 3: 99 Problems but a Pest Ain’t One
Sartteka troubleshoots pests and problems.
Workshop 4: Plate to Plot
All about composting and re-growing veggies from kitchen scraps.
Workshop 5: Celebration Event
A plot-to-plate cooking demonstration by VeVe Eatz.
PHATRCOPS workshops were made possible by San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, Next to Nature and I Am Green with funding from SDG&E.
