SOLD OUT
We have had an amazing response and have sold out tickets. We look forward to seeing everyone at River Valley Fest. If you were not able to buy a ticket, we have additional exciting events, celebrations and get-togethers planned in early 2024!
The 2023 River Valley Fest, SDRVC’s main annual fundraiser, “Wings of Majesty,” will be held at Morgan Run Club & Resort on Sunday, October 15th, starting at 4PM. Thanks to our sponsors, the full ticket price is tax-deductible.
This year’s theme, “Wings of Majesty,” celebrates the San Dieguito River Park’s role in providing vital habitat and resources for numerous birds at the San Dieguito Lagoon, along the watershed, and for migrating bird species in the Pacific Flyway. It symbolizes beauty, transformation, and freedom. Over the past 37 years, the park has evolved, with 62% of the watershed now publicly owned, 49 out of 71 miles of the Coast to Crest Trail accessible to the public, offering an escape from daily life.
Funds raised will support the Conservancy’s mission to acquire open spaces, provide educational and recreational programs, and foster environmental stewardship for all ages. Specifically, the proceeds will help organize engagement events, habitat restoration, trail construction, outreach, and community science activities.
River Valley Fest will feature hosted beer and wine, music by Bill Fleming, honored guest and speaker Senator Catherine Blakespear, hosted plated dinners, and an auction with old and new friends.
thank you to our sponsors!
This year we take pride in a multitude of accomplishments, the highlights include being recognized as a Non-Profit of the Year and successfully securing funds for the completion of additional segments of the Coast to Crest Trail. For nearly 40 years, our supporters allow us to protect vital lands prioritizing climate resilience, native species, land connectivity and fire mitigation; restoring lands within the San Dieguito watershed; engaging and empowering people of all ages to protect nature through firsthand experiences and education; and simply getting people outside and connected with fellow nature enthusiasts.
Our devoted members and supporters make things happen. Financial contributions allow us to continue our efforts to protect, preserve, and share the natural resources and beauty of this amazing resource and attraction. If you would like to sponsor our event, please click here.

About
The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy (SDRVC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (Tax ID #33-0191772) that has been preserving and sharing the natural and recreational resources of the San Dieguito River Valley since 1986. We depend on the generosity and passion of our private supporters, business sponsors and granting agencies to maintain our financial stability.
Our three pillars – Conservation, Education, and Recreation – embody our mission to create a vibrant, healthy, and sustainable community. We are proud of our results and appreciate the efforts of our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to reduce fuel for fire in our canyons, inspire youth to appreciate nature and the environment, and provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get outdoors for their physical and mental health.
