Trail Acceleration

Donors can direct their support to accelerating the completion of the 55-mile Coast-to-Crest Trail, side trails and connecting trails to the other segments in the County trail system, such as the Sea-to-Sea Trail. Donations can be earmarked for either a specific trail segment or to the Trail Acceleration Fund.

Designation for a Specific Trail Segment
River Park supporters can designate their donation for a specific trail segment. Recently donations have been received to extend a trail segment 12 miles from Boden Canyon to Lake Sutherland and for a connection between the Mule Hill/San Pasqual Trail and the Poway Trail System.

Trail Acceleration Fund
Donations to the Trail Acceleration Fund supports work to identify, evaluate and develop new trail locations. The River Park, a government agency, supervises the actual construction of the trails, and the citizen-based Conservancy applies donated funds for pre-construction work, such as the engineering analysis of trail routes and trail construction costs.
