Del Dios Highlands to North Shore Lake Hodges Trail

In 2008, the Conservancy received a $28,500 grant from the Conservation Resources Network to fund a preliminary feasibility study for trail connecting Del Dios Highlands County Preserve to the North Shore Lake Hodges Trail.  The proposed trail will connect the existing 17-mile segment of the Coast-to-Crest Trail along Lake Hodges to another 13 miles of multi-use trails in the 750-acre Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve next to Olivenhain Reservoir.  The study identified three alternatives for the 0.65-mile trail connection. Further study and dialogue with the surrounding community will be needed to determine the preferred route in the future.
